# Activity Philosophy and Categories

**TLDR:** In the µLearn ecosystem, the impact of an initiative is measured by its ability to transform a student from a passive consumer to an active creator. All activities must be free, consistent, and inclusive.

In the µLearn ecosystem, the impact of an initiative is measured by its ability to transform a student from a passive consumer to an active creator. Leadership starts with observing the real needs and energy of the campus rather than making assumptions.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Core Principles of Engagement</mark>

* **Consistency Over Scale:** Small, regular programs are prioritized over large, irregular events.
* **Zero Barriers:** All activities must be completely free to take part in and must not have any restrictions on participation.
* **Inclusive Environment:** Every student, regardless of department or batch, should be given a chance to participate in the µLearn experience.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Activity Categories</mark>

Activities are categorized based on their intent and the nature of the student's involvement:

* **General Activities:** These are initiatives conducted to meet specific campus requirements or general public demand within the student community.
* **Learning Activities:** These promote a deep-seated learning culture and primarily involve the formation and maintenance of Learning Circles.
* **Outcome-Based Activities:** These are time-bound sprints where the goal is a tangible "Proof-of-Work". This includes Mument sprints and Impact Projects following a "Learn-Build-Deploy" cycle.
* **Research Activities:** These involve Impact Projects that focus on deep-diving into a particular problem or exploring emerging technologies to generate new insights.

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Community Collaboration Policy</mark>

µLearn encourages working with other campus clubs and external communities. However, to protect the "Free for All" philosophy:

* **Fee-Based Collaborations:** In cases where a collaboration with another community involves an unavoidable fee, the chapter must negotiate a merit-based access model.
* **Merit Criteria:** Specific criteria must be set to provide free passes or registrations to top µLearners (e.g., granting access to the first five students who are Level 5 and above with more than 7000 Karma).

### <mark style="color:$primary;">Execution & Reflection</mark>

* **Ownership:** Students who attend should feel the session is open, supportive, and skill-focused.
* **Continuous Improvement:** After every program, the Execom should evaluate what worked and what didn't to strengthen the chapter's future initiatives.
